1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 onions, chopped
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbls coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 green chillies, chopped
4 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbls coriander leaves, chopped
1 tbls mint leaves, chopped
Boil chickpeas in fresh water with half of the garlic
until tender. Drain and reserve liquid.
Mash 1/2 cup chickpeas – set aside.
Heat 4 tbls oil, sizzle cumin seeds then add remaining garlic
and onion – fry until brown. Add spice powders – fry 2 minutes.
Add green chillies, tomato, pepper, salt, coriander Inspired by street vendor in Nahan,

Add chickpeas and enough reserved liquid to make
a thick, saucy consistency – simmer 5 minutes.
