Nasi goreng is a breakfast dish made with yesterdays leftover rice
2 cups cold, cooked rice
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 long red chillies, sliced
1 tsp trasi powder
2 pieces roast chicken, shredded
1-2 cups cabbage, shredded
1 tsp palm sugar
1 tbls kecap manis
2 fried eggs
Heat 2 tbls oil and fry onion, garlic, one chilli and trasi until aromatic.
Add chicken and cabbage – mix well and fry a little. Add palm sugar and kecap manis – mix well.
Add rice – mix well and heat through.
Serve topped with fried egg, second chilli and extra kecap manis, with cucumber, tomato and kerupuk.
